Great beer, good food. Had a very nice bangers and mash. Music in the toilets was interesting. Top spot for the boaties. Other diners raved about their burgers and pork belly.

These taste fabulous. Soft ciabatta rolls with black olives scattered throughout to add salty flavour. Delicious filled for lunch or on their own. Expensive at €1.20 per roll as purchased at the Alternative Bread Company stall in the English Market, Cork.

I had a meeting in Moran's yesterday morning and I have to say, it still is a fine hotel. Full Irish was top notch - maybe a little pricey at €10.

After many years of positive press, I tried here. Nice bagel but nothing special. Their Reuben needs sauerkraut too.

An unsatisfying mix of excellent food and wine with haphazard service and crazy pricing. The most expensive meal we're ever had but sadly not the best. Regular readers of the blog know that I was blown away by the documentary on Dylan McGrath...

The advertising for this programme had me hating its subject before it had even started. It depicted Dylan McGrath, who runs Mint restaurant in Dublin, as an obnoxious Ramsay-knockoff desperate to win a Michelin star. Two minutes into the show I wanted...
